The year is 1992. The UK is coming out of recession, as now, and the first shoots of a new gay community in Manchester are beginning to show. Pioneering a new style of gay club Cruz 101 created a venue that would spark a new generation of acceptance for the gay community in Manchester and across the UK. 22 years later and the club has a raft of awards, consistently winning the Best UK Club title in many competitions. It has a huge loyal customer base and continues leading the Gay Village as the cornerstone of what has become the largest gay community in the country.
22 years of experience give its DJs the edge when it comes to the music in the club and they know exactly what customers want, playing the best chart dance and pop tunes on the main floor. Two clubs in one, Sub101, the club's lower floor, which has recently undergone both lighting and fixture refurbishment, is always at the cutting edge of dance technologies and hosts Manchester's biggest gay house night every week - Aftershock.
This year Cruz 101’s 22nd birthday is going to be celebrated on Saturday 31st May. For this landmark anniversary the Cruz team have created an event you will never forget! A massive pink party night, that includes a huge pink club transformation that would be the envy of Barbara Cartland. We will also have the WKD Brazilian team on hand showcasing their latest fantastic product and bringing with them their flamboyant dancers and sampling team.
On entry to the club you will be presented with a complimentary glass of champagne to get you in the party mood.
Almighty Donald and Rob James join forces upstairs on the Cruz main floor playing the best pop, dance & chart party anthems whilst downstairs in Sub the Aftershock team take over the decks playing the cream of house tracks.
